Dear Sir/Madam:

My name is Patrick Taylor, and my resume is attached. I am currently looking for a Process Engineering Technician position within your company. As you can see from my resume, my AAS degree as well as my diverse skills and 8 years of direct experience make me a strong yet flexible candidate for this position.

I have spent the last 7 years as a Process Engineering Technician in the Photolithography module of DFAB at Texas Instruments, Inc thus I am highly and uniquely qualified for this position.

In my resume you will find that my current skill set is both wide and deep, both theoretical and practical, both academic and experiential. I have studied electronics (both analog and digital) and have experience with technical troubleshooting and repair techniques in addition to having fab experience.

I have exhibited both stability and dependability in my work history, and I have always aspired to be a tremendous asset to the companies that have hired me in the past. Upon completion of my degree, I went to work for Texas Instruments Inc. where I have held an Engineering Technician position for the last 7 years. Due to market contraction during the current global economic recession, my position at TI has been eliminated.

I am available (and would prefer) to begin immediately. I am able and willing to travel.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my credentials with you at a mutually convenient time. Thank you for your consideration.

Respectfully yours,
Patrick Taylor
